Father of Bride / Groom Suits

Hey

Does the Father of the Bride / Father of the Groom have to wear the same suits as the Groom and groomsmen?

It might be nice for the Fathers to stand out as opposed to blend in ???

Any help would be great

At my wedding the fathers wore different suits. We (the men) all had the same ties though and had matching pin hole flowers.

Our wedding was very small and it was more chance than design that the two fathers ended up with dark grey three piece suits, and we got them white shirts, purple ties both slightly different to each other and cufflinks and matching buttonholes. They weren't identical but I think it was fairly obvious to anyone who they were without having to hire formal/morning suits....

Thanks a million guys ... I wasnt sure if there was a "usual thing" that should be done and I suppose for pictures and that its different groups so it doesn't matter as long as the groomsmen and bridesmaids match

Thanks!!
