Hair & Makeup

Hi Ladies,

Just wondering if anyone can advise from experience, is it better to get the hair & makeup girls to your house or go into the salon that morning?

Trying to decided whether to get them to the house or go into the salon. Not sure if the house will be to hectic to have them there.

Im getting married in Oct and I plan to have them come to me!!!

Been bridesmaid twice once had hair and make up come to us other time we went to hair and make up and I thought staying at home(or wherever)was much better)each has its pros and cons but if u have someone recommended and reliable Id have them come to u and so many places are offering a home service and most free lancers will travel up to an hour before adding travel costs...I am also a hairdresser and to be honest a busy salon is not the ideal place I'd like to be the morning of my wedding,then rushing to make up and from experience unless you have a regular local salon brides tend to be worried on time......if u are in Dublin the powder room girls are fab I know a few working there they do hair and make up (I don't work there btw)come to u and travel.

MAC,Bobby Brown etc all have free lancers so u can call them and they are nation wide...

house might be hectic but clear a room to have H+M UP set up and then all is good...

my only fear about freelancers is if they let u down, thats why Im sticking with MAC if the girl I have booked is sick for any reason she has hundreds of people to replace her same as any shop that does house calls.

I got married last year and had a FANTASTIC girl from mallow (Audrey - upstyle junkie) do my hair AND makeup. The nearest hairdresser and make up artist was 5 miles from my house so it was a must for me. SO I would say it depends on how far away you are from these people.

Thanks for that ladies...think I might go for them coming out to the house...at least we can all relax and not be rushing around in cars to salons.
